I am thrilled to have my work at the Alexander Gallery at CCC in Oregon City. The beautiful space close to home allowed me to create extra large works and experiment with materiality and form in ways I haven't before. The installation was loosely based on Edwin Landseer's Man Proposes, God Disposes and speaks about our false proprietary relationship with the natural world. The ideas behind his dramatic painting of polar bears tearing at the remains of an icebound ship remain as applicable today as they were almost 200 years ago.
